Our Favorite Starbucks Frappuccinos

Starbucks is one of our favorite places to go. It's a great place to go to feel relaxed and calm after a long day. We especially love their frappuccinos. So, in commemoration of our very first post here on this blog, we the writers would like to write about our favorite frappuccinos from Starbucks. The reason why we chose to name our blog OmNomNom Frappes is because "omnomnom" is a term used by modern youngsters to describe anything that tastes good while "frappes" is short for frappuccinos. Since we love frappes so much, why not name this blog after them? Now, let us move on to the main topic.

Nicholas's Favorite:

Starbucks is known for its quality as well as its overpriced price tag, yet many still seem to love it. Many people would flock to Starbucks to get their daily dose of caffeine and lately it is more of a trend than a need. My personal favourite would be their Caramel Macchiato. Why? Well it's just a very well balanced drink with the right amount of milk and coffee in it, and a lil extra caramel in anything just makes it that much better. Macchiato is an Italian word meaning “marked.” So a latte macchiato is steamed milk marked with a little espresso, while a caffè macchiato is espresso marked with a little milk.

If you aren’t a coffee lover but want to keep your pace up with the Starbucks trend, get a hand on their Green Tea frappuccino. Nothing can go wrong when it comes to green tea! I used to be skeptic of this overrated hipster cafĂ© until I had my hand on their green tea frappe. It was a love at first sip! Since then, I only order this whenever I visit Starbucks. (Loyal and conservative customer I am). I love adding chocolate chips into my green tea frappe so it’s more fun drinking it. Add on banana if your frappe is going to be a meal so it is more filling for your tummy. However, I don’t like the addition of banana because it took over the green tea taste. It Felt like I was drinking banana frappe instead. Not cool. Life is good when I get to snuggle up with a good book whilst sipping my favorite Starbucks frappe. Hmm~ Perfecto!

P.S. Bring in their tumbler in any participating Starbucks store for a deduction of RM2 for your drink and at the same time, SAVE THE GREEN ENVIRONMENT.

I have been a loyal Starbucks drinker since a very young age. I have tried most of their flavors and my favorite ones would be their Cookie Crumbles, Mocha and Chocolate. I always prefer my frappes with whipped cream. My current favorite frappuccino flavor is their newest release, Salted Caramel Mocha. I am a huge fan of both mocha coffee and caramel so when I discovered this flavor I was really excited to try it. I first tried it last Sunday when I was making my way to my hair salon appointment and since then I have been hooked. You would think that the combination of mocha and caramel would be ridiculously sweet but the salt they add into the drink balances out the sweetness perfectly.

I highly recommend this flavor if you love mocha and caramel since the combination of the two is like a dream come true. Even if you aren't a fan of either, just try it out. You never know if you like something or not if you don't give it a try. You might even love it as much as I do.

Lately the weather in Malaysia has been so hot and I'm sure we all need something cool to save our days. What else can do so other than a super cooling Salted Caramel Mocha! It's rich in mocha and the taste of toffee just spins around your mouth. Personally, this frappe makes me emotionally calm. Whenever I drink this, the only thing that runs in my head would be rainbows and unicorns. I'm glad I followed a friend of mine a few years back to try out this frappe. My favorite part of this frappe would be its whipped cream on the top. It gives me excitement when I have it. By far, this is my favorite frappe.

I like the Chocolate Cream Chip flavor. It was introduced to me by a friend. At first I was hesitant to try it, however I'm glad that I took the chance. It really is a great drink and I love chocolate. I always order it whenever I visit Starbucks to feel relaxed and to treat myself after a long day of hard work.
