When I thought of food that makes me happy pancakes were the first to cross my mind. Instantly, I invited a few of my course mates to have our lunch at Paddington House of Pancakes located at The Curve.
Before having your mouths watering, here's a little insight on Paddington House of Pancakes (PHOP).
"The pancake lovers AKA PHOP creators have traveled and sampled pancakes from many countries like America, Australia, France, China and many more. It was all to bring us truly authentic pancakes from all around the world. PHOP are committed to serve us only real, hearty and wholesome pancake meals. They have transformed the ordinary homemade pancakes into Perfect Paddington Pancakes."
I hope you are ready to read my indulging lunch experience. As skeptical Asians, we thought pancakes wouldn't satisfy our hunger but we ended up walking out of the restaurant with bloated tummies. Plus, all the dishes we ordered were so alluring!
These were the scrumptious dishes we had.
Nachos is great as an appetizer or a snack. PHOP's nachos are made of crepe batter chips! It was something new to me! The combination of the crunchy nachos and sauces (especially the cheese!) are a piece of heaven! This is great to munch on while chit-chatting with friends.
PHOP's Cheesy Wedges and Fries, Belgium style with grilled cheddar, crispy chicken bacon bits, basil leaves and tangy mayonnaise. It tasted as good as how it looks!
Do order their signature classic pancakes if it's your first time dining in. We ordered a tall stack of pancakes but you can always choose to have a short stack instead. It is served with butter and maple syrup.
The almighty Pot of Gold filled with dollar pancakes with nuts, mini marshmallows, chocolate sauce and ice cream. Who said pancakes must be big? These fun-sized mini pancakes are just right for delicate ladies who want to indulge themselves.
If you have a fancy for thin crust pizzas, give their Pannekoek a try, a dutch styled crispy pancake. This London Pannekoek is highly recommended for vegetarians because there isn't any meat in it. I promise you will finish this with an exclamation of oh my crispy goodness!
We agreed that this lunch was definitely worth every penny with their high quality food and dining environment. It is a certain that you will taste the love they put into the pancakes in every single bite.
For your information, what we ordered were just a few from their selection of 100 pancakes. I can't wait for another pancake date to cross out the list pancakes that I haven't tried! Pancakes are after all, happy food!
